Kyle Garzia saw it coming.
Upon stepping onto the practice field for the first day of practice this spring, the Sun Valley coach looked around and saw the same faces he said goodbye to at the close of the last season.
Bobby Clemens and Frank Jackson were there, as were Donnie Krausse and Matt Remner. The only face that wasn’t covered with a helmet that day was Steve Christy, the injured senior who is likely lost for the season. Read More (article courtesy the Daily Times on 4/10/09)

Donnie Krausse and Bobby Clemens delivered three goals apiece but it was Josh Lovelace’s run-out Saturday that lifted Sun Valley to an 8-7 nonleague lacrosse victory over visiting Archbishop Carroll.

Lovelace intercepted the ball on his side of midfield and trudged into scoring territory, where he buried the winner in the top left corner.

Frank Jackson chipped in a goal, Krausse and Clemens one assist each as the Vanguards (2-1) overcame a 7-5 fourth-quarter deficit.

The Vanguards overcame a 7-5 deficit late in the fourth quarter and won it on a goal by defender Josh Lovelace. SV’s offense led by Donnie Krausse (3 goals,1 assist), Bobby Clemens (3 goals, 1 assist) and Frankie Jackson (1 goal). Goalie Tyler Brun made 9 saves. Carroll’s offense was led by Johnson (1 g, 3 a), Flynn (3 goals) and Keith (3 g). Cuzzupe had 18 saves.

Bobby Clemens posted three goals and five assists for the Vanguards (1-1, 1-1). Donnie Krausse and Matt Remner netted three goals each while Sam Maldou and Frank Jackson each contributed two goals and one assist.

Sun Valley keeper Tyler Brun made four saves.

Bobby Clemens collected three goals and five assists while Matt Remner and Donnie Krausse each had three goals for the Vanguards in the Ches-Mont League win. Frankie Jackson and Sam Maldou each added two goals and an assist and Tyler Brun had four saves to gain the win.
Great Valley was led by Campbell Armstrong (3 goals 1 assist), Eric Gartner (2 goals 1 assist), Mike Ravenfeld (1 goal), Gavin Wilson (1g 1a), Dan Buccholz (1 goal). And goalie Mike McClatchy (12 saves).
After a 2-2 first quarter, SV scored 8 in the second, and went into halftime up 10-3.
