5/1/09 BOYS LACROSSE NOTEBOOK:

Any team playing Sun Valley would be best served by trying to play some stall ball. Let the Vanguards’ offense get settled and Donnie Krausse and company are liable to go off.

Winners of five straight games entering Thursday, the Vanguards (11-3) have been held to single-digit goal outputs only four times this spring. Krausse scored four times in Tuesday’s win over West Chester Rustin to join Episcopal Academy’s Cody Isdaner as county players to crack the 40-goal plateau.

Sun Valley has four players with at least 24 goals, including Bobby Clemens, who broke the school record by getting nine assists in a game last week.
