SV WELL REPRESENTED AT PSU!

8/2- The 2008 Keystone Games are officially in the books, as the Delaware County team captured this years gold medal. Six current Vanguards represented their county at Penn State University in a thrilling weekend. Attackman Stephen Christy, Bobby Clemens, Frankie Jackson; Midfielder's Nick Morrell and Donnie Krausse and Defensemen Josh Lovelace all put in stellar performances and helped secure their gold medals!

The Delco Keystone team finished the tournament 6-1, suffering their only defeat to defending champion Blue Mountain in round robin play. The team would go on to draw the #2 seed in their division and take on Chester County in the semi-finals. Behind attackman Stephen Christy's 3 goals, Delco defeated the Chester County team and secured their place in the Gold Medal matchup with #1 seeded Blue Mountain.

In a back-and-forth defensive showcase in the Gold Medal game, attackman Bobby Clemens scored the first 2 goals for Delco to start with a 2-0 lead. Blue Mountain then would score 2 unanswered. Garnet Valley's Eric Warden would later add the 3rd goal, with Blue Mountain answering right back. With 20 seconds remaining in a 3-3 game, Warden would find Clemens for the game winning goal. An incredible finish to an exciting championship game!

The Delco Lacrosse team is comprised of the top Delaware County high school lacrosse players. This years team was coached by Kyle Garzia (Sun Valley), Justin McQuaid (Garnet Valley) and Steve Seiler (Garnet Valley). The Delco Coordinator is Jim Harvey.
