5/6- In an all-out shoot out on a soggy Dr. Wally Field, the Vanguards put together 14 goals before falling in the final 34 seconds to ChestMont rival Unionville 15-14.

5/1- The Vanguards suffered their second loss in the ChesMont league, falling to West Chester East 13-8. The offense came out firing to start the game, but a strong 2nd quarter by the Vikings proved too much for Sun Valley in the late quarters. The Vanguards are now 11-4, 6-2 in the ChesMont and will host Unionville Tuesday evening at 7pm.

Goal Scorers: Matt Remner (3g 2a), Donnie Krausse (3g), Nick Morrell (1g 1a), Zach Hopkins (1g), with Sam Maldou and Bobby Clemens both pitching in assists.

5/1/09 BOYS LACROSSE NOTEBOOK:
Any team playing Sun Valley would be best served by trying to play some stall ball. Let the Vanguards’ offense get settled and Donnie Krausse and company are liable to go off.
